My name is Andrew Scott Lorenz and I was born on April 11, 1977. I was born in the Phoenixville Hospital and adopted by my parent’s right after birth.
I grew up in several places from 1977 until 1982 including Bristol, Pa; Phoenixville, Pa; and Sellersville, Pa. In 1981 we had a new addition to our family; my brother Matthew was brought into the world July 26th.
In 1982, over the winter holiday break from school, I moved from Sellersville, Pa to Levittown, PA and we remained there until the summer of 1993 when we made our last move as a family to Etters, Pa; which is right across the river from Harrisburg, Pa. From 1995 onward I lived on the West Shore including Mechanicsburg, Pa, Enola, Pa and now Carlisle, Pa where I live today.
In 1994 I started my first job at a local fast food restaurant in the area and worked my way up to management after my graduation from Red Land High School in June of 1995. I made my first job change in 1996 from one fast food chain to another. In June 1996 I switched careers and started doing customer service for an international corporation. In 2001 I switched jobs again and worked for a horse racing track in the area doing internet wagering customer service. In 2003 I moved into the career of my choice and started to work third shift for an outsourcing help desk company. I switched careers in 2004 again and started working for a company doing Data Entry on a three month Contract. After that contract expired I transitioned into a “Telecommunication Technical Specialist” with the same company supporting computer hardware and software which was placed into daycare centers across the state of Pennsylvania. In October 2006 I started in my present position as a Business Analyst for Capital BlueCross which is based in Harrisburg. I originally started as a contractor and was officially hired on by CBC in September of 2008.
In 1995 I started to date a wonderful woman and in November of 2000 I was proud to call my wife. Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t work out like we had planned and we separated in 2002 and finally divorced in 2005. I decided to take a several year break from the dating scene and after several dating attempts (some of which went well, others not so well) I started to date a young lady who I currently live with. As far as marriage again, only time will tell.
In September of 2003 I finally found my life’s calling and started doing work on the side as a web designer for several sites including the IF Skin Zone which is a resource forum for a free message board called InvisionFree, Trindle Spring Lutheran Church which is my father’s church and my personal website titled AndrewLorenz.com. In August 2004 I started a small website design and Information Technology company called Lorenz Technologies and hopefully that will continue to prosper in the coming years so that becomes my primary source of income. But for this time, it’s merely a hobby which I get occasionally get paid for.
I thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me and if you have anything you would like to know which is not covered here, feel free to ask. |
